I'm very bullish on EVs, and the use of solar to generate the energy needed. I've been watching the number of hybrids increase year over year, and the number of EVs that I see has noticeably increased in the last two years. We just bought a hybrid, and one thing that I didn't realize until we bought it, is that I will be very reticent to buy a gas-only vehicle going forward. It just feels like a step in the right direction. I suspect that holds true with many hybrid buyers, and maybe EV buyers as well.

I expect within the next two decades, vehicles will start to drive themselves, and people will be able to request cars that will drive up to their home when needed. Considering how much time any one given car is parked, It would be much more efficient if cars could be pooled. I imagine that cars that drive themselves will eventually look quite different.
