I've been thinking. In all these movies where the robots or androids or whatever decide to remove humanity, the robots are rational and intelligent, but they still have to learn. Why then, wouldn't the creators plan for the robots to go through a "child" phase, where the robots learn about stuff and get a better insight into what it is to be human, even if that "childhood" period is accelerated? I mean, it seems pretty shortsighted to activate an unknown entity in a full-sized and somehow, always super-humanly strong body. It's like none of these movie scientists has ever met a very intelligent child before or had a mother.
