I love this song, and this video. The Pumpkins were one of the bands I grew up with, and I have a lot of memories around them. They're definitely a comfort band, for me. I can remember walking home from school ages ago with some huge studio monitoring headphones, and a couple of friends running up behind me and hitting me on the head, laughing and saying "who're you listening to, the Smashing Pumpkins?" thinking they'd literally just made up the name. Strangely coincidental, because I actually was listening to them at the time. This track was one of the first I ever played live, too. I did an acoustic cover. Unfortunately, the friend I had got to record it forgot to turn on the camera's mic, so there's no audio. I have the chords and lyrics written in the back of one of my journals, in the section dedicated to songs I'm determined to always be able to play. Anyway, just needed a distraction and figured writing a bit would help. It's been a long day and an even longer week.
