Sorry, maybe I'm missing something in the article, but how on earth are they sure that our entire metabolism is controlled by that one protein, especially given that most biological systems have many mechanisms of regulation?

It measures the uptake of proteins? So if I only down low-protein foods, will I never feel full? My nose smells bullshit.

The discovery is neat in its own right, but I just don't understand where they made the logical jump to it being the "single protein [that] controls our metabolism".
