One of my students is a guy from Mexico who is trying to improve his English so that he can earn his master's in architecture. This past week, I asked my class to do a reading about the pillars of photography, which the article outlined as composition, lighting and moment and the student in question chose to do a presentation on Falling Water. Long story short, I am amazed at how much Wright's work continues to influence and inspire and it's students like the one I mentioned that allow me to really enjoy my profession. I mean, one can only teach so many rich, entitled people before becoming somewhat (or really) cynical about the effects of education and how we personally influence others as teachers. After the presentation, I was able to find avenues to build a plan for my student such that he has a good chance of success (I think), so hey, thanks Frank.
