I notice that I am confused. Someone explain to me why we're supposed to believe any of this? The only potentially valid thing I can see there is the point that Russia might team up with China ... but China doesn't need Russia's help to become the world reserve currency -- that's already happening regardless. Putin is perhaps the most effective head of state, because he's working from the position of an absolute monarch; ecib's point about a one-note economy is completely valid; Russia will enter recession this year; and what exactly is this guy trying to prove by talking about his private stock portfolio? He's telling us to buy low on stocks he already has? I guess he never technically says he's had them for a long time, but if he just picked them up too why is he excited about past dividend percentages? That's not sustainable given Russia's economic outlook. Those p/es don't look great. I'm very confused.
