The "fuck it, cooperation didn't work and I'm a lame duck anyway let's ram through some liberal shit" era, I think. Frankly, I'm heartened. This is the point where most presidents start focusing on either (a) legacy or (b) getting the VP elected and since nobody is seriously considering Biden for president, legacy it is.I don't know, I think we may be seeing a new era in the Obama presidency.
