In the earlier post, I suggested that WWI might be the bigger tragedy than WWII, because of the immediate and direct results of WWI, which include Bolshevism and Nazism, neither of which are really events. Militarism of Japan can be traced at least in part to WWI also. Although they fought with the allies, they had to strengthen their navy to do so, helping fuel the rivalry that subsequently developed between the US and Japan. In any case, I would put the two world wars as the worst events that have ever happened.
