We moved to Louisville, KY. Which so far is a much better situation than Seattle, except: -We spent our entire savings on a house. Which is great, except: -The movers really fucked up and they still haven't delivered our stuff, leaving us living in an empty house- no kitchen stuff, no table, computer, instruments, beds, etc. So we bought a couple basics. Which is great, except: -We now can't afford actual furniture we wanted since we spent it on stuff we needed. And we're living off of my wife's nursing income, now greatly curtailed thanks to East/West coast pay disparities. On the other hand, I'm getting it together to go back to school myself with the intention of being a psych nurse within two years. Which is great, except: -Turns out I have a year of prerecs to get out of the way since I religiously avoided the hard sciences since midway through high school, which was, what, thirteen years ago now? And then it turns out that to get into nursing school, I have to take an entrance exam requiring knowledge in: physics, microbiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, chemistry, and English (should be okay in that last one). Just to get in. What do they plan on teaching me once I'm there? To whit: the next two to three years are gonna be tough. It's a little overwhelming. How's grad school stuff? And you might've said already, but what are you in for? Miss the hubski crew. Plan on getting back into things as soon as my fucking. Computer. Comes. Definitely owe TNG some solid work.
