I felt the same when they rejected the defense's proposal to move it. However, based on the evidence and the case that the prosecutors put together, I think it's more likely that he would be sentenced to death in any state. Keep in mind, we've seen the news coverage and the media shitstorm and the emotional stories over the past two years. We didn't sit in the courtroom every single day, for weeks and weeks, experiencing every single piece of evidence, every single eye witness testimony, every single everything.

The defense's only defense was "my brother brainwashed me and it's not my fault." While I feel for a young guy who probably wishes he didn't do what he did and I agree that he might not have done it if it weren't for his brother, I don't think that takes away from his actions.

If people who kill a single cop get the death penalty, if people who rape and murder a single person get the death penalty, I think someone who murdered multiple people, injured hundreds more, emotionally traumatized a city, and instilled fear in the entire country should probably get the death penalty.
