This kind of lens is omnipresent in countries that no longer have to worry about feeding or sheltering the majority of its population: the government thinks they ought to impose their view because they think those are the bad guys. People without personal opinions are easy to control, as evident locally. That being said, I was surprised to see Ukraine so low on the list. When exactly did they ask the question? On whose territories? I'm pretty sure (as sure as I can be, given that I don't have any other insight than local news) that, being asked, the People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk would say "favourable". Are they not Ukraine, for that matter? I guess not. It's not to say that I'm defending Russia - with every year, I have less and less to defend it with - just curious about how true to reality it is.
