Now I'm almost curious enough to try and find out why so many people are hostile toward me or outright snap.

Try this on for size: You are rigorously focused on achievement and expansion of your knowledgebase. You are an eager and voracious learner. The majority of your attention seems to be given over towards pursuits that - and I don't know Poland - are atypical of the interests of most teenagers I've ever met.

I would hypothesize that your interests more closely align with what your professors and elders wish kids did than what kids actually do. It's entirely possible that you spend every Friday and Saturday night playing beer pong'n'date rape but I'm gonna go out on a limb and presume that you portray yourself fairly faithfully on here. There's a very real chance, then, that your existence - from their perspective - is as a constant reminder of the achievements and focus that they are actively eschewing.

I'm not going to tell you to change. However, if you spend a little while analyzing how they spend their days vs. how you spend your days, I suspect you'll detect a difference. More than that, I'll bet your reaction to cataloguing their days has a hint or two of "why would I waste my time with such infantile detritus?"

Fundamentally, you have a different value system than your peers. They... can detect this. If you would like to get along better with them, you have to adopt some of their values.

The drums are a great step in this direction.
