It's not the risk that bugs me, it's the collateral damage. It's the guys dragooned into risking their lives so they can decide if someone else is going to die or not. It's the helicopter pilots putting their entire teams on the line for $50k that they don't even get to keep. I can think of no adventure sport as selfish as extreme mountain climbing.
