One said he would change nothing and keep working, which was a totally alien concept to me at the time. I couldn't understand how someone who had spent ~40 years doing a job, wouldn't jump at the chance to do something/anything different when given the option. His friend agreed more with me, and said he would do something (I think he mentioned Travel) to change his lifestyle. I left the conversation warning myself to never become like the first guy who seemed utterly devoid of any energy or curiosity of the world beyond his job.
