I think, generally, "How 6-3 a case was" is a going to serve as the best metric of how history will judge these SCOTUS rulings. But even "Early 2025 era 5-4 SCOTUS" judged by history will still be "really really really bad".

And yes we all remember the analysis (Politico? Mother Jones?) showing the three-mode clustering of SCOTUS voting patterns; I think it was 1) the lib three (bandname), 2) Coney-Barrett-Gorsuch-Roberts, 3) Alito-Thomas-Kavanaugh. So, probably, for this ruling, there were some relatively minor disagreements in conservative obscene laughter principles snorting. And if I got any of the above paragraph wrong? It is because I do not fucking care.

So what's the gameplan, we keep ironing out little spats in whether eg local or federal-level billionaires and/or GOP members benefit most from SCOTUS's rulings and time?

That sounds great. I can't really think of over 25 constitutional crises right now.

And I know they took up this San Fran v EPA case god knows how long ago probably a year or more, but I also know the way they've treated Trump will likely only soften from here.

One of the only certainties about SCOTUS is that beginning very shortly, at least in public, Donald Trump will decide how fast to take away their legitimacy according to how useful they are to him. But he will, one way or another. He might have moved to pack the court already, if they'd not granted him immunity. But yes, soon will come replacing Thomas and Alito with perhaps BigBalls, or another DOGE sprout, maybe Tucker Carlson, who knows? People are saying it's gonna be legit! Or the exact opposite. One of the two.

Trump or Elon don't like a SCOTUS ruling? "DOGE finds 'massive waste and fraud' at SCOTUS". It won't be "DOGE", by then, maybe, but it does not matter whatsoever the form or name that the fascists' destruction assumes, the only thing that matters is whether Trump/Musk are permitted to (illegally) destroy whatever they want, or whether they are not. And they are very much permitted. There are almost zero remaining restrictions on executive power imposable by any American institution, except in a future election. Do I really need to explain how things like election infrastructure (Wasteful; Fraudulent!) and election law (biased judges; corrupt lawfirms!) are going to go from here?

But best yet, if you're friends with the executive, and also wealthier than the guy running it (at least, for now)? You're relatively unworried by public backlash to e.g. canceling elections. Sky's not even the limit. Shit, you can blow the sky up from Texas every fuckin' Thursday with a brand new Starship if you think it gets Grimes to fuck you one more time.

TL;DR - Who gives a damn about SCOTUS? Tired story of libs sticking to principles while they get punched in the face over and over, for at least about 3 solid decades. And the democrats need YOUR help RIGHT NOW!! For just three weekly payments of $7, our big dollar donors will donation match up to (but not exc-..
