The impacts of climate change will be felt hardest by the poorest people in the world, who contributed the least to the problem. While not alone, the US has continuously blocked international action on climate change. The US government has adopted policies to prolong the global economy's reliance on fossil fuels to the benefit of established corporations, rather than actively promoting a green revolution that could help launch a new generation of research, manufacturing, technology and clean energy companies.
When I read articles about the impact of climate change on the US, I am overcome with a sense of disappointment and sadness.
