In my limited experience with Christopher Hitchens, he seemed to think that quoting the more idiotic and archaic parts of the Bible and then trashing them was often a substitute for legitimate criticism of religion. (I've only read god is Not Great.) I would love to have this refuted by an actual fan of his. Would someone do this and/or point me in the direction of one of his better works?
