Any lawyers on here? Where is the distinction between harassment and free speech? I know that the Supreme Court rules that the church members who protest military funerals have a right to be there, but I see a difference in the two cases. In the one, the incidents are limited to a single event with a message-oriented mission; in the other, they are ongoing and have a specific purpose of disrupting lives, not simply getting a message out.

Maybe the "right" thing to do here is to protest the protesters. If each of these groups (the Unitarians, gays, swingers, etc.) stood up for sin and organized themselves to make these members' lives living hell, then they might go away. They were sinners that have been reborn, which is typically code for one who has no control over one's own life, and so needs guidance to maintain order (give your life to a higher power, as they say in AA). They feel empowered by taking control of the lives of others. As soon as the others show they have control over their own lives, the group loses what it desires.
