The Beatles White album is the first Beatles album I ever owned. I listened to this album a lot when I was a kid. It's one of the reasons I asked for my first guitar. I was just 11. I listened to their song structures a lot and really studied why songs like Dear Prudence or Mother Natures Son moved me so much. This album and all of their work had a tremendous impact on me. I owe much of my inspiration for wanting to be a songwriter to the Beatles
WARNING---SHAMELESS PLUG---
The last pick is a result of the first two. I recorded "Elaborate Maps" with "The New Green" in 2010. It's the result of a lot of work with some really great friends. Most notably, bgood79 who plays all the lead guitar and sings most of the background vox and some of the lead vox too. I know it's a bit of a cop out but I have to pick this album, it means a lot to me and when I listen to it, it's like hanging out with friends and recalling so many moments in the studio etc.
Good times.
So what are your 3? Don't think too hard on it, just whatever comes to mind. I'd really like to find some new music so thanks in advance.
