This will certainly be one of the most costly natural disasters in the history of the United States, and we're nowhere near in the clear yet. I had originally planned to go skimboarding on campus today, but I am not able to do so in good conscience. All other flooding events here have been dwarfed by what has already happened, and there is at least another foot of rain on the way tonight. We've also had somewhere around 100 tornadoes in the area within the last 24 hours.
I'll keep you guys posted, but I apparently chose one of the apartment complexes least prone to flooding, and to top it off, I'm up on the third floor. No worries for me, but the rest of the city could really take a bad hit tonight, when this Harvey thing re-intensifies.
