am_Unition pointed me to an article yesterday that shows that Iceland leads the world in population testing. They are also doing a general population screening. As a result, their data is some of the best available.
Some interesting bits:
Current confirmed: 1727
Deaths: 8 (0.46%)
Tested to date: 37386 (10% of total population)
Percent of tested population found positive: 4.6%
Percent of total population exposed: ~0.5%
Also interesting to note that about 50% of Icelanders tested we not experiencing symptoms. That's a bit worrisome as it suggests that plenty of people can spread COVID19 without knowing it.
Most people experiencing symptoms in Iceland are likely tested, so the Icelandic population that has it is probably less than 4.6% at this time.
