Holy shit guys. Holy shit. I'm a fucking detective.
Alright so here we go. Let's start this story.
So I had a massively hard time figuring out who the really attractive extra was, because a lot of the people listed on imdb as bridge crew did not provide pictures. Between me and my friend, we thought we had it nailed down to Jacqueline King - formerly Jacquelynn King - because she had a similar facial structure to this blurry photograph.
This was my conclusion for a bit, that Jacqueline King was the hot white haired chick. But I was wrong.
Let's start piecing together the journey. First step was deciding to ask reddit, which is also a convenient place to plug shouldiwatchthis.net so that people will see my site and give me money. I decided to do a better google search than what I had done before and sifted through maybe three dozen shots of the bridge - most of them with only the main characters on it - before I came across this.
"Hey wait," I said to myself, "her noise is way more angular than Jacqueline's. There's no way that's her." But, I still clung to my original theory, so I decided to do some more checking, this time with a flat google search. This brought me to Jacqueline's public facebook page - her artist page basically - and found this picture.
Hey, look at that! Its a girl with white hair, but with glasses on. And the post is about Star Trek. Is this a lead? Well, I checked. The person in question was Jodi Johnston - credited for Star Trek as an extra - who has a small open facebook page. Problem is, this is basically her facebook picture. I needed a side shot to really figure out who was who.
So I did some checking around. Just a simple google search of "Jodi Johnston." Here's the image I find. Hey, that face is pretty similar. I had noticed earlier that "Jodi Johnston Model" was a suggested search for what I was trying to find, so I looked. Second image basically confirmed it.
Sure the name was different - its Jodi Ilene on the site - but that's pretty much dead on with the girl in Star Trek: Into Darkness.
There you have it. From two blurry images on google, using nothing but public searches, you can figure out way more about a person than they think. That was never my intention but it seems to be the end result of it.
My intention was to bring her in to the spotlight because I really thought she was a cool extra. I know that's weird to say and probably biased because she's incredibly attractive, but she seemed to care and give it her best on screen. I liked it. A good portion of the people watching must've noticed her or they were blind, and I know I'm not the only one who wants to see a movie either starring her or featuring her in a more prominent role.
Also Ms. Jodi, if you ever end up reading this, I promise that I am not creepy. Also your twitter account got hacked, you should probably check on it.
