I listened to the Best of Blondie Friday night during Taco Night. Was fun.

No matter how bleak everything seems, a little bit of Rufus Wainwright always makes it better. Whenever I'm feeling a bit down, I play 'Oh What a World'. The vocal harmonies are so soothing, and then the cheeky use of Bolero always makes me smile.
The obvious answer is to meet more singer-songerwiters, but I advise against it. Otherwise after it goes bad she writes songs about you, and at first being cast as the devil is flattering in a passive aggressive sort of way, but then strangers who smell strongly of pachouli start asking "aren't you ...?" and it gets old fast.
I posted some Julien Baker the other day - the Audiotree session she did. Holy. Fuck. was my reaction when I heard it.
This week I learned that Amazon Prime's music app lets you download playlists to have music on your phone without taking your cell data. Since I use Google Fi's cell service and do not get free music streaming, I have been downloading the playlists and listening to random metal and fold metal in the car during the drive time thing. I've been very impressed with the app and the quality of the music. This lead me to start searching youtube to see what other playlists are out there and I found the following. It is one hour of instrumental folk metal, includes the playlist (Guys who make playlists, do this please?) and had been a killer listen. The guy's channel is full of really great lists, the guy must be a DJ.
