Such bullshit. Anytime I get hung up on Maths I haven't looked at for a while I go to Khan. 10 min later I usually find I can proceed with whatever it was I was trying to do. I remember trying to do the same with textbooks, an hour or two later I would be able to proceed. Most material that attempts to instruct students in math is terrible, it doesn't go step by step, it rarely talks about the concept in any easily accessible meta level. The average text is approved by someone well versed in the maths discussed with little real understanding of what students get hung up on.
Amazingly Khan seems to have a great idea of what students get hung up on, maybe it because it goes in 10 min bits, not shoving a ton down the students throat at one time. I think the real threat of Khan is that students might not need to buy $100+ text books, and ultimately might not need to spend 300+ for classes.
