mk had Hubski up and running for a couple of months and per his prodding, I created an account. We were friends, still are and he asked for suggestions on the site and I started giving them. You have to realize that Hubski basically looked exactly like hacker news but with little +'s next to each post instead of up or down arrows.

He then asked me to come on board and be a part of it. I contribute in many ways. In fact, it would be easier to say what I don't do to help with the site. I don't program or code in any way.

I couldn't imagine any other person that I could work better with than mk. His strengths are my weaknesses and I would wager that he would say the same. I think we both feel like Hubski is our baby, we care about this place immensely and do all that we can to make it a special place and all that we can to ensure that we don't fuck it up.

If you are a musician, chances are you are a pretty creative person. There are any number of ways that you could channel that creativity into creating something of your own outside of music. Whether this be a "start up" etc. is up to you.

For the record, we always refer to Hubski as a project and not as a "start up." The connotations with the latter just don't fit.
