This is something that can be proven or disproved. It is also something that can be safely unaccepted without evidence.

It seems that you make several important assumptions here.

1) That being religious or spiritual means:

1a) That you must be a follower of any of the three main Abrahamic religions.

1b) That, if you are Christian, you are automatically a Biblical literalist.

2) That scientific principles apply to non-scientific questions.

3) That religion implies insanity.

I do not feel that any of these assumptions are accurate to this conversation. I feel that a personal hatred of fanaticism on your part colour your perspective. I feel as though a debate is not your mission, and I prefer to remove the stage and podium. Thank you for offering your voice.
