It may be cliche, but I really do enjoy my time at the gym and deep meaningful conversations. My time at the gym allows me to enter a wonderfully still, quiet, and focused world: breath in, push, weight down, breath out, weight up. Keep going. You can do it. One more. Good. It's a personal recluse away from the dissonance, bright colours, constant sounds throughout the day, when all my worries temporarily wash away and it's just a singular question of 'can you do it or not?' After finishing, there's always a sense of accomplishment because I feel like I actually DID something today, plus I do get to indulge myself sometimes guilt free (yay for food). Deep conversations engages me, challenges my brain to open my mind's eye to a sight unseen before and absorb, understand, then learn about other people's perspectives. Open ended questions are particularly instructive, because they have infinite variability and so countless ways for one to learn. I love you mom, for having these conversations with me.
