Wasn't trying to knock your argument down or invalidate your feelings about the television show COPS, just sharing a piece of the puzzle of why a guy might want to be in the show. I hope the kid packs up his brand new Mercedes and skips town before he gets gunned down. Found out a bit more about him, he burgled 9 houses in one day when he was a minor. He likes to steal guns more than things like consumer electronics. He was arrested a few years ago for shooting a pistol in the air on new years eve. Home burglaries dropped the two years he was in juvie. I find COPS tasteless and believe it probably feeds some of the baser aspects of our characters. As far as generating a bunch of sympathy for the young man's victimization at the hand of COPS, I have to say that the kids poor decisions and the way they impact the neighborhood make me feel more sympathy for those who's life he makes more dangerous and fearful than for the lad himself. Overall I'm somewhat ambivalent. I know the police are generally doing the best they can, the boy is following the path that his nature and nurture have led him and I just continue to try and sell people a decent cup of coffee and enjoy my day.
