Wait, wait... what they're saying is that a private citizen had opinions in a speech? Any chance they could, oh I don't know... include the entirely of her speech so that people could form their own opinion of whether or not it was tactful? If Doris Kearns Goodwin has shown anything, imo, it's that she has a tremendous affection for American history and I would be shocked if she showed anything less than reverence for the soldiers that gave their lives at Gettysburg.
