It seems to me that all of the "new comers" from the GOP have all "risen a wave of good first impressions". First it was Michele Bachmann, then it was Rick Perry and then Cain. Now it seems people are tired of "first impressions" and have moved to Newt Gingrich, someone with old and horrid impressions from a past full of hypocrisy and shady ethics.
Perhaps the thought process is, "at least with Newt, we know he's a horrible person. No surprises".
