Same. I'm definitely digging in this so far. I've always wanted a small enough community where I can actually become familiar with users beyond the "celebrities" we have on Reddit. Hopefully this one doesn't become too big too fast.
That's one thing that sneaks up on you. If you stick around long enough, you begin to recognize usernames and know personality traits and interests of the people behind those usernames! It's a bit odd at first but really nice as well. It really helps with the community feel.
Yeah! I'm pretty excited to be honest. It feels a lot more like the boards/forums I used to go on years ago, moreso than reddit anyway, or even a bit like livejournal? Idk though, I shouldn't be making comparisons... I should judge it on its own merits. Things are looking positive though! :)
