For the less technically literate amongst us, what makes Freelan better than other VPN services? On the website is a table with the cons of a selected sample of VPN services (which is explanatory enough) - presumably Freelan has solved (or at least is an attempt to solve) these problems?
Probably the biggest win is that this software can work without a central server in a peer-to-peer manner. This means setting up a secure vpn network with a group of friends/collaborators is theoretically easier and less vulnerable to single points of failure.
