I hope it hits London soon and mainly starts off in south London, it's where I live haha.
I'm not using it (It's still only available in Kansas AFAIK), but the big problem with it is that your speeds are always limited by the other side of the connection. Which means your speeds will vary wildly, rather than having a steady consistent speed like you do now. Nonetheless, it still looks amazing and I want it.
While yes, you could consider that a downside. I think it would be a fantastic feeling knowing that a slow download is caused by a slow server and has nothing to do with your side.Which means your speeds will vary wildly, rather than having a steady consistent speed like you do now
It has been mentioned that it would take a while for any connection this speed to get to Europe, so by that point, the servers might have already caught up. The UK always seems to be a little behind with these things, only just getting LTE.
Is your university's connection slow? At mine, most students in dorms get about 10-15 mbits/s. And I know when I'm on campus I get around that much. Labs have much faster speeds, and when hardwired I can get up to 100-300 mbits/s. Which is lightning fast. I could only imagine how fast Google Fiber is.
