Sigur Rós very obscure post rock band from iceland, made famous for their use of bowed guitar. it just got so much feel, every song brings new emotions, its amazing.
Just saw them this past weekend. BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. Highly recommended. Not obscure, however. It was also the biggest concert I have ever been too.
Sigur Rós is great but not exactly very obscure. Their last album debuted at #14 and their reddit AMA got almost 5k comments. Anyway, I definitely agree. I really loved the new direction they went on Kveikur
they said "it was a bit more agressive than their last albums" understatement of the year, but yeah i really like their new album too. check out *shels, in particular their album "plains of the purple buffaloe" its more focused on the buildup in the song which gives it a really great "feel"
Sounds really interesting, I'll definitely have to give them a listen
