Over about the last 10 years I've had three, as I affectionately call them, 'dream landscapes'. Each of these landscapes were modeled (but are also vastly different)after real life places and would only last a year or two before a tragedy would plague the 'residents' and the dreams no longer occur. The landscapes will occur(as I remember them) about once a week for their duration, then end in a nightmare. Otherwise dreams and nightmares alike happen in random spaces or 'white rooms'.
As I recall from my psych course, dreams aren't too terribly understood but are assumed to be random firings of the brain as it 'organizes' memories. If this is the case, why do dreams occur and reoccur in places nonexistent within your immediate life?
