That hurts to hear :/ What field of science are you working towards? Correct me if wrong, but I get the impression you don't intend to shrug shoulders/bite-the-bullet and just work in a for-profit organisation, which is admirable. Have you thought about backup plans/careers/fields etc?It's entirely possible that I won't have the scientific career that I intended.
