Does that open his organization up to counter-suits?
I never knew homosexuality caused AIDS. I read a quote once saying, "being against gay marriage is like throwing away someone elses hamburger because you're on a diet"
Extreme conservatives never cease to amaze me. It's like they throw humanity out of the window and just decide to word vomit during interviews, press conferences, blogs, etc. Truly disgusting stuff. And to think that these are the pastors that are teaching people "good" values and how to live a "loving" and "caring" and "accepting" life. Sorry, but I am biased against organized religion for many reasons and I typically try to keep my bias out of arguments but it's stuff like this that just reinforces me.
Jesus fucking christ. Also was it just me, or was that quote about black conservatives EXTREMELY racist? The far-right pastor was responding to fellow tea partier and president of Americans for Truth Peter LaBarbera, who was arguing that Fox News should tell more "stories of happy men and women who have left the homosexual lifestyle" in the same way they highlight black conservatives.
let's not neglect the awful sentiment of "gosh we were really hoping someone that we thought was gay (or is) comes down with a debilitating disease that would have just been swell"
