I never would have thought about the whole privatization angle to the TSA debacle. And I thought it was weird to see people like Justin Amash along side many groups and people I admire. I've been reading about the Koch brother's groups and it amazes me how far ahead they plan, or perhaps just how resilient their zeal is.
Yeah, the Koch brothers have been on the periphery of my reading for the past several months and reading this just really drove it home how involved they are in U.S. politics. This whole thing reads like something from fiction. In fact, this is exactly the kind of thing I would expect from the Dune series. In some ways, I think this kind of long term planning is what the country and the planet need if real systemic change is to be achieved. Of course, I'm not saying I'm with the Koch brothers, just that the kind of planning they have done is remarkable and if other politicians with the public interest in mind were to implement it, it might be very effective in accomplishing a lot of positive things. I'm not surprised that people with this kind of patience and ability to move pieces would use it for their own gain, but I'm starting to wonder if this kind of maneuvering will become the norm and if it did, how can people really know what is what?
