Brokers! Bluecoat is fun. Plymouth is the standard for elegance in the category of English Gins. Hendricks is the model for extreme embellishment -- or perhaps Gin 209 -- though Tanqueray Ten, Rangpur, Sapphire, and Bombay East have all thrown hats into that ring as well. For shockingly wonderful value, these folks have fingered Seagram's Extra Dry.

Do you have different gin preferences for say, a martini vs. a Tom Collins vs. a G&T? Also, beyond the standards, are there any relatively easy to prepare gin cocktails you might recommend?

b, I have heard really good things about the negroni but of course never tried it because it's a gin drink. I have been considering doing so for Monday although I'd also have to buy vermouth and bitters.
