It seems that we are living in the golden age of tv shows but it can still be hard to find series which hook you up.
If I had to recommend some series to Hubski, it would be :
The Wire : for its characters development, for its in-depth look at how different administrations are related.
True Detective : for the acting quality (Matthew Mcconaughey, Woody Harrelson), cinematography, and just everything.
Treme : for the atmosphere of discovering a new city, New Orleans. Also, the music is amazing.
And if I should add one mini-series, it would be Black Mirror, there are some really solid episode like "15 Million Merits" and "The Entire History of You".
So, Hubski, if you should recommend 3 series and one mini-series, what would it be ?
The tag #television is more used than #tv. We had a long-ranging discussion not three weeks ago - feel free to go muck about in there. Remember, new comments make old posts new again.
Thanks, I'm going to check it.We had a long-ranging discussion not three weeks ago - feel free to go muck about in there. Remember, new comments make old posts new again.
I suggested "Black Mirror" in that earlier thread. It's only 6 episodes, so check it out if you can find it. The episode that blew me away was "The White Bear" - after the first 10 minutes or so you're thinking "this is a silly concept, done kinda poorly" - and then, a little later, when the penny drops and you realise what's actually going on, you see that it's flippin' brilliant. Every episode is unnerving and thought-provoking.
