Hey seahawk, I do not YET have an iAnything. But this sounds great and more motivation for me to start using spousal unit's soon to be liberated iSomething. I'd be thrilled to play on the run. My #1 goal in starting to use a smarter phone than the stupid one I have is to be able to take pictures and post them instantly on hubski. My #2 goal would be to play chess with you. My father used to play chess by mail w/ people all over the world. Somewhere, I still have the special postcards that were prestamped 3 cents. It strikes me as phenomenally slow, but life and chess were slower back when you could mail a postcard for 3 cents. I suspect that the mail was faster though.
I was going through some old comments of mine to see if I posted something to a weekly music thread (I did...) and I found this comment. I was wondering if you have upgraded to a smart device of some magical sort for us to play chess together.
I played here briefly at one point. I found my log in and password to this on line chess club. http://www.letsplaychess.com/chessclubs/asplogin.asp I wonder if you can invite specific people. . . . My name on chess is The Ll Grrl. Meanwhile -- can we play facebook scrabble? I'm otherwise not on facebook at all except to play scrabble.
I found where to invite people, but you "have invites turned off at the moment." I have no idea if mine are turned off nor do I know how to turn them on, but you can try inviting me. At the top there is a Join Games tab. If you click on that the second one down should be Search by Nickname where you can look me up as c_hawkthorne, then invite me.
I don't even have facebook... I think I just invited you to a game, though I am not sure. I just made my name the same it is on here.
I got an invite but from "Reyn"... I have a chess.com account under, you guessed it, c_hawkthorne. I am so uncreative. Except for chess with friends. That is something else. Every internet account though, the same name. So if you want to try that, we can. If you don't want to start making accounts everywhere for chess, that is totally reasonable too.
