Trust me, it's worth it.
I told myself it had to be worth it. It had to be. It was.
Because of you, I started out knowing it was going to be a "tree fiddy" kind of joke. I read through it anyway without skipping to the end, and now I'm somewhat more content with my life. I think the way people process things really can tell a lot about them. That being said, I'm happy with what it showed about you and I.
After 3 days of forcing myself to finish this, I did. It was perfect. It was so perfect.
Personally I prefer the hydrodoofus joke, which is similar in the sense that it's overly long for a dumb punchline.
Classic joke. I once printed this out, and hung it on my study office door with the title "Nate the Snake (funny joke)". It made me laugh every time I saw someone stopped to read it. I actually think it's well written and enjoyable in its own right, and the punch line is a perfect end. When I read it, I had forgotten that it was supposed to be a joke before getting to the end, which made it even funnier!
I sat my wife down to read it telling her that it was the funniest thing. Of course I know she HATES puns. So 2 hours later she finishes and just gets so mad. From the other room I hear, "Are you fucking kidding me?" and I laughed all night. I still tease her with the punchline. And yeah, it's great that this long, deep, philosophical story ends with the greatest anticlimax ever.
