That bit about purchasing titanium from the Soviet Union reminded me of a particularly bitter passage in book I once read, can't remember the title. Well, it was all very patriotic. From a moral standpoint though, it was all pretty awful for the Dene people and for the miners, who were not informed about the health risks.
