What a fantastic find. Thanks very much as this is the type of locally created piece I would have otherwise never found. I am currently still listening to the interview, but so far it is great. I have found a couple soundbites of the interviewee to be quite profound and inspirational.

This is odd but some may enjoy it. While the interview has been playing I stumbled upon another hubski post here http://hubski.com/pub?id=1560 With the audio of that link turned way down, I felt like the two links created an unintended artistic work as some of Gene Jacobsen's recollections were overlayed upon the amazing visual beauty of that piece.

I am going to do this. I've got a backlog going on here.

EDIT: I just read your bio, NU. Welcome aboard. We move a bit more slowly here, but it's usually worth the wait. :)

Thanks for the welcome. Very excited to find such a great site. It feels more like the old reddit, slashdot and the like. I didn't see any way to contact the developer(s), however I'd like to as I have a couple suggestions on how to avoid some of the problems that killed reddit during scaling. The site looks great though and I am already greatly enjoying the articles and comments of what is obviously a pretty smart community.

You've got one! I'm all ears, or eyes, as it is. Hubski is a work in progress, and that kind of feedback would be appreciated. Shoot an email to support at hubski.com. Or, hang around for a few days to get a feel for things, and then start a thread specifically for that discussion. -I'm guessing that some of the others might chime in.

Sounds good and excellent site so far. Very clean and useful. The karma/influence mechanism seems to be the unique core function of sorts, no?

That and building a feed of people and topics, -and also passing good subs on to your followers. Eventually, we envision that your hubfeed will be your primary source, and you will add to it via discovery and recommedations. I'm on my phone atm so I'll have to follow this up later, but the basic idea is that Hubski should be a discussion platform more than a fight for the limited real-estate of a given page. Some UI updates are in the works. But thanks. We want to keep it simple.

Btw if you haven't, (and you want) you can choose to get email alerts in the profile page.
