The thing about "trick sports", like skateboarding and Yo-Yo, is, to fully appreciate a perfomance like this, you need a little technical background on the thing. I know from the oohs and aahs from the audience that the guy was killing, but I had no idea why or how.
When I was into skateboarding and rollerblading, I liked to watch the X-Games pros go at it. I had some background, so I knew how difficult it was to pull some of those tricks, especially the less overt ones, and this made the experience more enjoyable for me.
