In Denver there are, which is probably the confusion.

Now you told him I'm in boulder and that there aren't any, he'd just nod vigorously until his head broken off his neck.

So nope, no diet racism there!

Denver is pretty segregated, too. The black areas of town damn near have a fence around them - you cross a street and suddenly you're in the 'hood. Meanwhile, the Mexicans are sub rosa there, like an underclass.

When we were in high school we had the choice of seeing concerts in Phoenix (10 hour drive), Denver (6 hour drive) or Dallas (12 hour drive) because very few bands we cared about went to Albuquerque (Scorpions? Check! Oak Ridge Boys? Check! Front 242? Not so much!). We'd drive the extra 6 hours to go to Dallas even though it meant going to Texas. And I say that having found two different Burger Kings where white kids can't get served.

All of this is very much true. But 'segregated' and 'not a single dark person in a 30 mile radius' are two different things, ya know.

Basically the general rule of thumb is that the further into the mountains you go, the less likely you'll see a black dude.

You are the 1.6%!

Also, generally, the further east you go on MLK, the more likely it is you'll see a black dude

Oh, no doubt. Boulder and downtown Denver have about as much in common as Encino and Compton do.
