That would be even funnier if I couldn't now head into my local supermarket and buy rice that has been partially cooked and frozen into packets so that I can take it home and cook it for slightly less time than I would other have to cook dry rice.

I'm reading Paul Robert's The End of Food right now, which was recommended by kleinbl00. If you want to chase that rabbit to a very disturbing place, I recommend it as well.

Just finished this this month! It was everything I wanted to know that Michael Pollan would never tell me. Made me wonder if much has changed in the half decade since...

Read that earlier this year, really fascinating book. Would love to hear your thoughts on it when you finish it.

This is the one that blew me away. And that was back in like '96.

Pancakes and sausage, homes.

Yeah, but you gotta admit that assembling pancakes and sausage on a stick requires some effort and skill. I couldn't do it (wouldn't do it, but that's another discussion). "Toast?" I can fuckin' make toast.

Totally. I just never think pancakes and sausage on a stick isn't hilarious.
