I like to make long treks through the wildernesses of this world with nothing but a backpack. But I also like to read a lot and books are heavy to carry up a mountain. So I leave a trail of books in shelters, hostels and remote hotel rooms, where I pick up some new ones left there by previous wanderers. I do not part with a good book easily, but it felt good to leave Jacqueline Carey's Kushiels Dart in Silverton, CO. Nothing better than a lot of BDSM, (homo)sexuality and swashbuckling to leave in that picturesque, sleepy mining town. And on the tiny island of Ko Rai Noi (Thailand) I found the treasure of Clive Barker's Weaveworld.

Are you sure you're not the protagonist in a novel?

I see that this comment was made some time ago. I wonder what, if any, adventures you've had since. Just a man, his backpack and a book -sounds nice.
