Love American Football! I also love Craig Ferguson. In SF, definitely check out City Lights bookstore in Chinatown, which has a wonderful history with the Beat Generation and is a lovely space as well. And then, if you are sort of dorky like me, you may enjoy going to the CA Academy of Sciences or the Exploratorium. For other touristy stuff, bum around the Golden Gate park and Haight-Ashbury, Lombard st., the Wharf, etc.--and the Mission for food.
