It was a really good day for me. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before but I go to Coderdojo every saturday, if you can't be bothered checking out that link, it's a network of free programming clubs for people younger than 18. This week was quite different to most, a new club was starting up right next to an existing one and they were getting all of the best young programmers(All of which I like very much to be with) from the already established one to teach a 'class' for basic HTML with about 30 people in the room, which consisted of a bunch of 10ish looking guys, a few slightly younger looking girls, around six people who looked 14-17, parents, and staff of the fancy building which kindly donated their room. All of which had never done anything code related, except for one girl who looked around 17, she already had notepad and seemed to already know some HTML. I had 'mentored' quite a few times before, which were all fun, but this class was full of great people, I felt we did a good job and I had a brilliant time talking to everyone there. See it's structured with much more freedom than classes you'll find in school, the 'students' are helping each other, people were sharing tips and cheerfully arguing about what the best text editor, language, operating system etc. was throughout the day(the answer is Sublime, Java/C#/C tie, Windows 8 :P), discussing their favourite TV shows and all that jazz. It was awesome. I also hadn't done any HTML in like a year but that was fineeee... Nothing really valentine's-day-y though, most that happened was someone who is unlucky enough to put up with my Eminem references all the time yelled that I'd fall in love with the 17-year-old-looking girl I mentioned earlier when I spotted a Eminem reference on the site she was making, right in front of her. Yeah, he has ADHD... so it's excused.
BRUH you can't just end the story there, did you ask her out? Were you interested in her at all?...yelled that I'd fall in love with the 17-year-old-looking girl I mentioned earlier when I spotted a Eminem reference on the site she was making, right in front of her.
Haha. I guess so a little. I was going to talk to her about Eminem, but with what my friend said I just awkwardly laughed and walked away... When she left I told her to "Keep working on that Eminem site Till' you collapse"(She had transformed it into a site just about Eminem by that point), which I am proud of.
